Joseon Denizen Act of 2023

By the grace of God, the goodwill of the denizens of Joseon, and the consent of the Joseon Sovereign, this Act, known as the "Denizen Act of 2023," is hereby enacted as follows:

Preamble

Acknowledging the novel construct of Denizenship within the dominion of Joseon, and recognizing the exigency of clarifying the legal standing and liability pertaining to the entities known as Denizens and Companies registered therein, this Act aims to delineate the rights, obligations, and the distinctive arrangement of ownership and control concerning Denizens and Companies within Joseon.

Chapter I: General Provisions

A Denizen refers to a special, personal interest corporation registered within the jurisdiction of Joseon, representing the legal entity of an individual (herein referred to as the "Person").
A Company refers to a corporate entity established and registered within the jurisdiction of Joseon, pursuant to the Joseon Companies Act of 2023.
The realm of Joseon shall be deemed the legal owner of all Denizens and Companies registered within its jurisdiction, thereby situating legal liability pertaining to the actions and operations of said Denizens and Companies upon Joseon.

Chapter II: Ownership and Control

While Joseon retains legal ownership of the Denizen, the control and management of the Denizen shall be vested in the Person who registers the Denizen.
The Person, acting through the Denizen, shall be recognized as the beneficiary of the actions and operations conducted by the Denizen, but only within Joseon, entitling the Person to the benefits accruing therefrom.
A similar provision shall apply to the control and benefits accruing from Companies registered within Joseon, where the control is vested in the Shareholders or designated controllers, as delineated in the Joseon Companies Act of 2023.

Chapter III: Liability and Jurisdiction

Actions undertaken by a Denizen or Company within or under the jurisdiction of Joseon shall be deemed as actions undertaken by Joseon.
Joseon shall not be subject to legal suit within its own jurisdiction for actions taken by a Denizen or Company.
Any legal recourse concerning the actions of a Denizen or Company shall be pursued in accordance with the established legal and judicial procedures of Joseon.

Chapter IV: Amendments

This Act may be amended by the Council of Dignitaries, Elders, and Revisionists (CODERS) in accordance with the established legislative processes, and with the approval of the Joseon Sovereign.

This Act shall come into force on the date of its enactment and shall apply to all Denizens and Companies registered within Joseon from that date forward.
